I've Driven this stretch of coast hundreds of time and seen no waves, only seals, tourist, commercial paua diver, and asian paua burglars???? An yes my luck changed, Kahutara the myth came alive throwing huge thick right hand walls of horse power down the beach, the wind was like cross on and slowly pulling offshore as i floated up and down the beach over time. There where only a hand full of people out the few hours i was there, very impressive wave, im sure it gets alot meaner than what i quickly seen.
