the yellow eyed pete the penguin, its baby was tucked under the rock, its amazing watch them hop up the huge rocks to the long grass to camp out for the night.

a good way to pass some time in the catlins is waterfall spotting, mclean falls one of many. if its been raining bring ya gum boots.
ive been shooting a lot of HDR sometimes they work sometimes they dont this one worked well. long point.

i pulled into curio bay to see nick and tomo who run the catlins surf school and it happen that a bunch of girlfriends from wanaka that i ski with where turning up for a weekend of surf lessons, i had a canon 600mm that a good buddy of mine WWW.MILESHOLDEN.COM gave me to have a go with, it worked out well, the girls had so much fun it was great to watch. i have to thank them as well for rushing me of to the invercargill hospital for the stitch up after my run in with the surfboard fin. cheers ladys
