Stewart Island from above

After cold front sweeped the south island a 1032 high pressure sat right on top of southland and otago. jack frost had a 3 day party. The atmosphere was as clean and clear as it gets, stewart island was chasing the New Zealand top island modeling comp.  Oban township and the northern beach where the main features, the northern beach of Stewart island are some off the most amazing beaches and native bush areas I have ever seen, pure white sand, salt dusted native bush, crystal clear water, abundant marine life,  it is like a tropical island with the water temp at 8-10 degrees (in winter). This time round i got to experience it from the Air, which just added a whole new perspective for myself, after diveing and fishing that area coastline, it was great to see it from above. Thanks tyson our pilot from stewart island helicopters. Wicked......
