Southland is famous for a lot of produce, but one particularly little morsel that unites all new zealanders together at the bottom of the country is the  Foveaux Strait oyster, the sweet succulent Tiostrea chilensis created a huge impact this year with record numbers of people, all claiming the best Oyster fest yet.
